TASITE Nomination for Committee Member

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

  • DATE: Wednesday 24 May 2017
  • TIME: 5:00 - 6:00pm
  • VENUE: The Hutchins School

Introduction

All committee positions will be declared vacant at the meeting.

Positions (voluntary) to be filled are: President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Officer and General Committee Members.

A TASITE Committee is elected at each Annual General Meeting and is in operation for one year.

The responsibilities for General Committee Members are:

  • Organising, facilitating or conducting workshops/sessions for members
  • Providing guidance, support and direction to educators across all educational jurisdictions in Tasmania
  • Actively promoting TASITE within schools and systems
  • Ensure TASITEs, policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Attending and participating in committee meetings (online/offline)

The Secretary, (secretary@tasite.tas.edu.au) must receive nominations for committee positions 7 days prior to the AGM.

Committee Composition

  • 1 President, Secretary, Treasurer, Public Officer (4 positions in total)
  • 8 to 12 General Committee Members

Management Committee Role of Office

The roles and responsibilities of the Committee members are outlined below. The Committee shall administer these roles and responsibilities to ensure the management of TASITE.

a) PRESIDENT: Overview of all operations of TASITE and representative on ACCE Board. Liason with ACS and other stakeholders.

b) SECRETARY: All general TASITE correspondence and communications. Assistance with the general running of TASITE.

c) TREASURER: All financial controls, payments and receipts. Financial Reports. Assistance with the general running of TASITE. Preparation for annual general audit.

d) PUBLIC OFFICER: Assist the Secretary with general TASITE correspondence and communications. Assistance with the general running of TASITE.

e) GENERAL COMMITTEE MEMBER: General committee operations as outlined above.
